The South Beloit Public Library is looking for a Circulation Assistant. The ideal candidate has the ability to work well with library customers and staff. They are able to exercise attention to detail, neatness in work, and computer experience. The ideal candidate would bring additional skills to the library being able to help with programs by having skills to do such things as be technical savvy and lead computer training, speak Spanish, or have previous experience working with students or adults.
Schedule would be part time and include Monday or Thursday evenings from 6-8 and every other Saturday 9-1, as well as additional variable hours. Flexibility in scheduling is very desirable to the position. Wage is hourly and starts at minimum wage.
The Library Circulation Assistant helps library users with checking materials in and out, collecting fees, issuing cards, and answering general questions. They assist and monitor library users with computers and perform various clerical tasks. Additional duties of programming could be added depending on qualifications.
