Beginning June 7, register your child for summer reading to receive an at-home log sheet and stickers to record minutes read this summer. Library books, comics, magazines, eBooks—if you can read it, we count it.  You may sign up any time during the summer.

Weekly incentive prizes are given.  The goal is to read 20 minutes a day/5 days a week.  Child not reading yet? – We count being read to the same as reading.

In addition to a weekly prize, books will be given when goals of 500 and 1000 minutes have been reached.  Call the library when these achievements are reached.  Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford will recognize the 500 minutes read milestone reached with a voucher for free admission for participants 12 years old and under.

Adult and Teens

Why should kids have all the fun?

Adults and teens can read books/audiobooks and enter a drawing for prizes. Request an Adult/Teen Reader log sheet  to record the titles you’ve read.  Indicate the preferred prize(s) that you would like to win from the prize list on back of the log sheet.  One title = one drawing entry ticket.
